Chapter 24 – The Sisters' Beauty Day

Scene: Sisters' bedroom – Sunday morning

Saroja and Padma decide to organise a special beauty and self-care day for Keerthana.

They prepare the bedroom with mirrors, combs, hair accessories, flowers and different outfits.

Saroja applies warm coconut oil to Keerthana's long hair.

Padma carefully combs it and demonstrates different hairstyles.

First, they create a traditional long braid.

Next, they try a loose ponytail, a low bun and a side-parted hairstyle.

Finally, Saroja decorates the braid with jasmine flowers.

Padma: "Now you look ready for a family celebration!"

Keerthana laughs.

They then experiment with different outfits: a blue cotton saree, a peach anarkali, a pink nightdress and a floral long frock.

Keerthana asks Ananya to choose her favourite.

Ananya selects the blue saree.

Ananya: "This colour looks beautiful on you."

Keerthana smiles shyly.

Athamma enters and notices the clothes scattered across the room.

Athamma: "Three women and one bedroom. Who is going to clean this mess?"

Everyone bursts into laughter.

Ending moment: Ananya takes a photograph of Keerthana with her sisters, preserving a memory of their growing bond.
