Chapter 17 – The Distance Between Two Hearts

Scene: Family home – The following morning

The next morning, Ananya wakes up early and goes downstairs without speaking to Keerthana.

At breakfast, everyone notices the silence.

Keerthana prepares tea and serves the grandparents as usual. When she approaches Ananya with a cup, Ananya simply says, "Leave it there."

Those words hurt more than an argument.

For several days, Ananya avoids spending time with Keerthana. She sleeps in another room and spends most of her time with her parents.

Keerthana slowly stops wearing jewellery and chooses simple cotton clothes.

Padma notices that she is no longer smiling.

Padma: "Why are you punishing yourself? You haven't done anything wrong by trying to understand who you are."

Keerthana: "I can handle relatives talking about me. But I cannot handle my wife avoiding me."

Saroja sits beside her and holds her hand.

Saroja: "Ananya is hurt because she feels she was excluded. Give her time, but don't destroy your confidence."

Meanwhile, Ananya secretly opens their wedding album.

She remembers their first meeting, their love marriage, and the promises they made.

Ending moment: Ananya touches their wedding photograph and whispers, "I still love you. I just don't know what to do."
