Chapter 29 – Two Little Heartbeats
Scene: Fertility clinic – Ultrasound room
After completing the necessary fertility treatment, Ananya attends an early pregnancy appointment.
Keerthana accompanies her.
The doctor performs an ultrasound while the couple wait anxiously.
After examining the screen, the doctor smiles.
Doctor: "Congratulations. We can see two developing babies."
Ananya looks at Keerthana.
Ananya: "Two babies? Are you serious?"
Keerthana begins crying.
The doctor explains the importance of regular antenatal appointments and monitoring because twin pregnancies need additional medical attention.
On the journey home, neither can stop smiling.
When they reach the house, Padma notices Ananya's expression.
Padma: "What happened? Why are you both smiling?"
Ananya reveals the ultrasound photographs.
Ananya: "We are expecting twins!"
Grandmother begins crying with happiness.
Athamma immediately starts planning the traditional baby shower.
Grandfather quietly looks at the ultrasound photographs.
Grandfather: "Our family is growing again."
Ending moment: Keerthana places her hand gently over Ananya's abdomen and whispers, "We are waiting for you both."
