Part 4
Chapter 7: The Studio of Torment
The morning sun had barely crested the coconut trees when Rajas’s blanket was unceremoniously yanked off his body.
"Get up, sleeping beauty!" Ria chirped, clapping her hands. "The salon is open!"
Rajas groaned, blindly trying to get up. He barely had time to brush his teeth before his mother, armed with a terrifyingly cheerful demeanor, marched him out the back door and straight into the neighboring house.
Ira’s home studio was a vibrant sanctuary of mirrors, bright ring lights, mannequins, and an intimidating array of beauty tools. The room smelled heavily of rose water, jasmine, and something faintly sweet and synthetic that was simmering in a small pot in the corner.
Vandana Kaku and Kamal Aai were already sitting on the corner sofa, sipping tea and watching the central salon chair like judges at a reality show finale.
"Sit," Ira commanded, pointing to the plush leather chair in the center of the room. She was wearing a crisp apron, her hair tied in a professional topknot. Today, she wasn't just his secret girlfriend or his neighbor; she was the artist, and he was the blank canvas.
Rajas sat down, his heart hammering as Ria tied a salon cape tightly around his neck.
"To build a convincing female illusion, we have to strip away the rough edges," Ira announced, pacing around him. "We start with the canvas. The skin."
She walked over to the bubbling pot. It wasn't soup. It was hot wax.
"Wait, wait, wait!" Rajas panicked, gripping the armrests as Ira approached with a wooden spatula dripping with golden, molten wax. "Can't I just shave? Men shave!"
"A razor leaves stubble by evening, Raju," his mother interjected from the sofa, taking a calm sip of her tea. "A proper girl has smooth skin. Let Ira do her job."
Before Rajas could protest further, Ira slapped a warm streak of wax across his forearm, pressed a cloth strip over it, and with a ruthless, singular motion—*RIIIIP*.
*"Aai ga!"* (Oh mother!) Rajas yelped, gagging himself with his another hand, his eyes watering instantly.
Ria burst into a fit of laughter, clutching her stomach, while Ira simply smirked, moving to the next patch. For the next hour, Rajas's quiet, introverted life was reduced to a series of sharp, agonizing rips. His arms, legs, and chest were subjected to the fiery wrath of hot wax and razors. Every time he tried to pull away, Ria would firmly hold his shoulders down.
When the torment of hair removal finally ended, he felt raw, shivering, and entirely exposed. But Ira wasn't done. She brought out an arsenal of jars—exfoliating scrubs, thick moisturizers, and aromatic lotions.
"Your skin is like sandpaper, Rajas," Ira muttered, though her hands were surprisingly gentle as she massaged a cooling cucumber and aloe lotion into his freshly waxed arms and legs. The burning faded, replaced by an unfamiliar, silky softness. Rajas smelled overwhelmingly of strawberries and vanilla.
"Now, the face," Ira said, picking up a spool of white thread.
She stood right between his knees, leaning in incredibly close. Rajas could feel her breath on his face, the intoxicating scent of her perfume making his mind spin. Both mothers could also feel the romantic tension between Rajas and Ira. But it was immediately shattered the moment the twisted thread caught his bushy eyebrows.
*Snip. Pluck. Snip.*
A single tear rolled down Rajas’s cheek as the thread aggressively reshaped his thick brows into high, elegant, feminine arches. Ira wiped the tear away with her thumb, a fleeting, private smile crossing her lips before she stepped back to admire her work.
"Perfect," Ira declared. "Now for the final, permanent touch."
Vandana Kaku stood up, opening a small, sterilized velvet box. Inside sat two tiny gold ear studs and a delicate diamond nose pin. Beside the box lay a metal piercing gun.
Rajas’s eyes widened in sheer horror. "No. Absolutely not! I am not piercing my face! I have office video calls next month!"
"You will tell your IT office that it’s a cultural vow for a religious ritual," Ria suggesed mischievously, walking over. "Press-on jewelry falls off, Dada. What if someone from the village sees the new girl’s nose ring slip into her tea? The illusion breaks! The Pandit ji also said na that you must live *completely* as a woman."
"Ira, please," Rajas whispered, looking up at her with desperate, pleading eyes.
Ira’s gaze softened for a fraction of a second, but the artist in her—and the thrill of claiming him completely—won out. She leaned down, whispering so only he could hear. "Trust me, darling. It’s going to look beautiful on you."
Kamal Aai, again suspected something different between Rajas & Ira but let it go at that moment.
Ira dabbed a numbing gel on his earlobes and the left side of his nose. Ria held his hand tight.
*Click.* A sharp pinch bloomed on his left ear.
*Click.* The right ear followed.
Rajas squeezed his eyes shut, his knuckles turning white.
"Deep breath, Dada," Ria whispered.
Ira positioned the gun over his left nostril. *Click.* A sharp, fiery sting shot through his nose, bringing fresh tears to his eyes.
"All done," Ira murmured softly, stepping back and handing him a hand mirror.
Rajas slowly opened his eyes and lifted the mirror. He barely recognized the person staring back. The rugged, unshaven IT guy was gone. In his place was someone with flawlessly smooth skin, sharp, elegant eyebrows, and the delicate glint of gold and diamond permanently resting on his ears and nose.
The transformation had crossed the point of no return.
Chapter 8: The Silhouette of New Girl
"Alright, the canvas is prepped," Kamal Aai declared, checking the clock. "Now, the real structure begins. Ira, take him to the inner trial room. Put the foundation garments on him. It needs to be snug so the clothes sit properly."
Rajas’s face flushed an incandescent crimson as Ira picked up a heavy shopping bag and gestured toward the private curtained dressing area. "Come on, *Rajasi*," she whispered wickedly.
The moment the thick velvet curtain fell closed behind them, isolating them in the small dressing room, Rajas collapsed his face into his hands. "Ira, I swear to God, I’m going to die of shame. This is too much."
"Oh, hush," Ira teased, though her own heart was racing a bit as she unzipped the boutique bag. She pulled out the silky, tight-fitting panties and a firmly structured, underwired bra. "Turn around. Let's get the basics on."
With agonizing awkwardness, Rajas complied. The sleek, restrictive feel of the nylon lingerie against his freshly hairless skin felt utterly alien. As Ira reached around his chest to fasten the tight hooks of the bra, her knuckles brushed his back, sending a shiver through him.
"See? Not so bad," Ira whispered, stepping in front of him. Then, with a theatrical flourish, she pulled out the heavy, realistic silicone breast forms. "Now for the fun part."
She slid the weighted forms into the bra cups. Instantly, Rajas’s chest dropped under the unexpected weight. He stumbled slightly forward, adjusting his center of gravity. "What the—! Why are they so heavy?!"
"Because beauty takes effort, sweetie," Ira giggled, adjusting the straps so they dug firmly into his shoulders, creating an undeniably voluptuous feminine silhouette. "There. You have an enviable figure now."
Ira also tried to grope the breasts of her new girlfriend playfully but Rajas, just like a typical girlfriend, showed her fake anger and started leaving the small trial room.
When the curtain drew open, Rajas stepped out, hunching his shoulders in a desperate bid to hide his new chest, again as typical girl.
As soon as Kamal Aai’s sharp eyes locked onto his chest, she marched over, narrowing her eyes, and gave one of the heavy silicone forms a firm poke.
"Hey! What in the world is this?!" Kamal gasped, before turning a fierce glare on Ira and Ria. "You mischievous girls! I told you to buy regular garments! What are these massive things? Are you trying to turn my son into a film actress?!"
"Aai, it's for maximum convincing power!" Ria wheezed, tears of laughter streaming down her face.
"Yes, Kaku, the Pandit ji said *total* transformation!" Ira added, trying to look innocent but failing miserably.
Kamal tried to keep a stern face, but looking at her giant, broad-shouldered IT-professional son awkwardly balancing a pair of heavy D-cups was too much. She broke character, bursting into a loud, infectious laugh alongside Vandana. "You girls are terrible! Fine, fine. Keep them. But let's get the clothes on before the sun gets too high."
Chapter 9: Welcome Rajjo
The transformation was escalating to its final stage. Vandana Kaku stepped in, handing Ira a stiff, cotton petticoat and a matching stitched blouse.
Rajas stood rigid as the tight blouse was hooked up his back, compressing his shoulders, while the petticoat string was pulled viciously tight around his waist to ensure it wouldn't slip.
"Now, the draping," Ira said, her professional designer persona taking over. She took a beautiful, vibrant daily-wear cotton saree. With practiced, elegant movements, she began tucking the fabric into his waistband, her fingers brushing against his stomach, causing Rajas to hold his breath.
She gathered the pleats with expert precision, aligning them perfectly before looking up into his eyes. "Drop your hips a bit, Rajjo," she murmured, a hidden, deeply sensual playfulness in her eyes. "Let the saree hug you."
Rajas could only nod dumbly, completely overwhelmed by her proximity and the sheer weight of the fabric now enveloping his lower half. She threw the pallu over his left shoulder, pinning it tightly to his blouse.
Finally, Rajas was guided back into the plush salon chair for the final masterclass.
For the next forty-five minutes, Ira worked like a woman possessed. She applied a flawless base of foundation and concealer, masking any remaining trace of masculinity. She dusted a soft pink blush over his high cheekbones, drew a sharp, killer winged eyeliner that made his eyes look large and expressive, and carefully adjusted the long, lustrous dark wig over his head, securing it with dozens of hidden bobby pins.
Ria stepped in, carefully clipping a pair of heavy gold jhumkas into his newly pierced ears, pressing a glittering diamond bindi onto the center of his forehead, and sliding a dozen green glass bangles onto each of his smooth wrists. The clinking of the bangles sounded like a death knell to his old identity.
Rajjo also got helped to put on jingling anklets on her ankles by Ira, like a good husband always does.
To finish off, Ira picked up a tube of bold, matte red lipstick. She leaned in, her face inches from his, and gently applied it to his parted lips.
"Blot them together," Ira whispered, her gaze lingering on his mouth.
Rajas did as told.
"Stand up, Rajjo Tai," Ria whispered, her voice uncharacteristically quiet with awe.
Rajas slowly stood up. The heavy weight on his chest, the restriction of the tightly wrapped saree around his legs, the clinking of the bangles and the cute chan-chan of heavy anklets made him feel entirely transformed. He turned toward the full-length mirror.
The 27-year-old Senior Software Engineer from Pune had completely vanished. Staring back at him was a stunning, tall, dignified young woman with striking eyes, elegant curves, and a breathtaking traditional grace.
"Oh, my beautiful daughter..." Kamal Aai whispered from the back, her eyes welling with real tears this time.
"Oh my god!" Ria screamed, clapping her hands. "Look at those curves! Up straight, *Rajjo Tai*! From today, you are my Rajjo Tai!"
"Rajjo Tai?" Rajas croaked, his voice cracking.
"I love it," Vandana Kaku laughed. "Rajjo fits perfectly!"
Ira stepped up right beside him in the mirror, leaning her head slightly toward his shoulder, her eyes gleaming with absolute triumph. "Well, Rajjo," she whispered, her voice dripping with sweet, undeniable authority. "Welcome to your new life, you are gonna love it !!!”
