Chapter 2 — Refusal, Persuasion and the First Yes
Arjun initially refused. He crossed his arms and insisted that he would rather wait outside while the girls went inside.
Maya changed the conversation. She reminded him that the trip was supposed to be about friendship and that the temple's fictional rule had turned the day into an unexpected adventure.
Nandini promised to stay beside him during every step. Keerthi added:
“You don't have to become somebody else. We are only helping you create a festival look for a few hours.”
That sentence changed the mood.
Arjun asked what they had in mind. Instead of rushing, the girls described the transformation step by step: choose a modest outfit, arrange his long hair, add simple accessories, and keep the look natural. If he disliked it at any point, they would stop.
After a long pause, Arjun finally smiled.
“Fine. One day. And you three are responsible for making sure I don't look ridiculous.”
The girls celebrated the agreement, but the real challenge had just begun.
