Chapter 10: The Hidden Truth
Priyanka clutched the photo album tightly to her heavy chest, tears streaming down her cheeks and smudging the kajal around her eyes. The images inside — her wedding with Suresh, their “honeymoon,” the fake family photos with a baby — felt both comforting and devastatingly unreal. She looked up at Suresh, who was still wearing only the white towel around his waist, his muscular body tense with concern.
Suresh sat down beside her on the thin mattress. The bed creaked under his weight. He gently took the album from her trembling hands and placed it aside. His voice was soft but serious.
“Sit down properly, wifey,” he said with a small, sad smile, using the word playfully yet kindly. “I think it’s time we tell you the truth. You’ve suffered enough.”
Priyanka wiped her tears with the back of her hand, her bangles jingling softly. She stared at him, confused and exhausted, her deep blue saree disheveled, her exposed midriff rising and falling with shaky breaths.
Suresh took a deep breath and began.
“Ravi and I… we are not just drama artists. We are undercover cops. Specially assigned to dismantle the big criminal network that runs across Andhra and Telangana. Two major players control most of it — Srinivas Rao from Telangana and Jagannatha Rao from Andhra. They run everything — extortion, smuggling, contract killings, political murders. Your case with Srinivas Rao is just one small piece of a much bigger puzzle.”
Priyanka’s glossy lips parted in shock. She couldn’t speak.
Suresh continued calmly, his deep voice steady. “This sensual drama troupe is our perfect cover. We travel from village to village, district to district, even across state borders. No one questions why sensual ‘woman’ and a few men move around so much. The bold, adult plays attract exactly the kind of people we need to watch — goons, local politicians, corrupt officials, middlemen. They come to enjoy the shows, get drunk, talk loosely. And we listen. We collect information. We build cases slowly, carefully.”
He looked at Priyanka with kind but tired eyes. “Babai is not just a retired makeup artist. He secretly supplies high-quality prosthetics and disguises to the undercover department. When you ran to him that night, he used his old connections in the department to bring you into the protection program. You were never really on the run alone, Priyanka. You’ve been in witness protection from the moment you reached his house. We were already planning to bring you in safely.”
Priyanka’s world spun. Her kajal-lined eyes widened in complete disbelief. The heavy weight of her breasts, the bare midriff, the constant fear of the past many days — everything suddenly felt different. She had thought she was a fugitive hiding desperately. But all this time…
“I… I was never really wanted?” she whispered, her feminine voice cracking. “All the running… the terror… the stares… it was all…”
Suresh nodded gently. “It was real danger, yes. Srinivas Rao is still hunting for the witness who saw him kill the politician. But we have been protecting you from the shadows. The forged documents, the training, the album — everything was prepared so you could survive until we take down the network.”
The emotional storm inside Priyanka reached its peak. Relief, anger, confusion, betrayal, and overwhelming shock crashed together. Her hands started shaking violently. The room began to blur. The yellow bulb above seemed to spin. All the days of humiliation, the hungry stares from strangers, the terror at the checkpoint, the constant performance as Priyanka — it had all been part of a larger plan she knew nothing about.
Her breathing became shallow and rapid. The heavy F-cup breasts heaved wildly under the tight blue blouse. Her vision darkened at the edges.
“Suresh Anna…” she whispered weakly.
Then everything went black.
Priyanka fainted, collapsing sideways onto the mattress. Her long braid with the jasmine flowers fell across her face. The blue saree pooled around her curvy figure. She lay there unconscious, looking heartbreakingly vulnerable — a beautiful young woman who had just discovered her entire nightmare had been carefully orchestrated for her own safety.
Suresh quickly moved closer. He gently lifted her head and placed a pillow under it, his strong hands careful and protective. He wiped the tears from her cheeks with his thumb and covered her with a thin sheet.
“Sleep, Priyanka,” he whispered softly, looking at the exhausted, feminine face of the man he had been guiding. “The real fight is only beginning.”
Outside the lodge, the Godavari night was quiet, the river flowing silently in the distance. But inside the small room, the weight of secrets and new truths hung heavy in the air.
Priyanka’s journey had just taken its most shocking turn yet.
