Part 1

Yesterday was hot sunny afternoon as the four of us gathered at my house to watch the cricket match between India and New Zealand. My friends Amit, Peter and Pritam had arrived early, while their wives dropped them off and left for some shopping.

I welcomed them in, dressed in a simple yet elegant red saree that flowed gracefully around my ankles as I moved. On my feet were modest 3-inch heels, adding just enough height without being too overbearing. My jewelry was subtle but tasteful - small diamond earrings, a nose ring adorning one nostril, bangles jangling on both wrists, and delicate anklets that tinkled with each step.

Amit entered wearing a striking blue silk saree with glittering trinkets woven throughout the fabric. He had opted for even more jewelry than I - larger earrings that sparkled in the light, an impressive nose ring stretched wide across both nostrils, and an ornate necklace draped delicately over his chest. His bangles and anklets matched mine in style but were a bit thicker, clacking noisily as he walked. Modest 4-inch heels completed his look.

Next to arrive was Peter, sauntering in with a cute blonde wig bouncing on his head and a pink bow pinned jauntily above one ear. He had chosen a short summer dress that clung to his curves and ended just above the knee, topped by a lacy corset cinching his waist. Fishnet stockings covered shapely legs and were held up by a sexy garter belt. Large hoop earrings swung from his lobes and a pearl necklace rested against his silicon-enhanced cleavage. The dress was low-cut to show off his assets, and he wore the highest heels of us all - towering 6-inch stilettos that made him the tallest one among us.

Last but certainly not least was Pritam, who swept into the room in an opulent pink saree dripping with sequins, beads and embroidery. His look screamed femininity - large dangling earrings, a chocker glittering at his throat, and so many bangles on both arms that they nearly touched his elbows when he lifted them. Anklets wound around each slender ankle and a bold red bindi decorated his forehead above kohl-rimmed eyes lined with mascara. Sindoor glistened in his hair parting. His makeup was flawless - dewy foundation, rosy blush, plump lips stained red.

We all settled onto the couch with trays of samosas and pakoras, glasses of wine and soft drinks within easy reach as the match began. New Zealand batted first, scoring 251. We were mostly bored in the middle overs, when our discussion moved to jewelry, makeup and our sarees. All of us liked to showcase our collection of feminine items, as we have a friendly competition between us to look as beautiful as possible, it keeps us all happy and motivated to add to our collection.

The Indian team batted second and made a strong start thanks to Rohit Sharma's 75 runs. But then Virat Kohli fell for only 1 run right after Shubhman Gill departed- it was looking like New Zealand would easily win.

"Oh no, I can't believe this!" Amit exclaimed, clutching his bangles in dismay as the wickets tumbled. "They were doing so well!"

I tried to reassure him while Peter nibbled nervously on a samosa and Pritam downed half his wine in one gulp. We watched anxiously as India teetered towards defeat. The match was getting exciting, and we all were quiet. Only sound coming from our bangles or anklets.

But just when it seemed all hope was lost, India pulled off an astonishing victory with 4 wickets to spare! We cheered wildly, jumping up and hugging each other in our sarees as Jadeja hit the boundary.

"It was so exciting!" Pritam squealed, doing a little twirl. "I thought for sure we'd lose."

"I know, I was on pins and needles," Peter agreed, fanning himself dramatically with one manicured hand. "But India really pulled through in the end!"

"You should have seen your face when Kohli got out," Amit teased him. "You looked like you were about to cry."

"There may have been a tear or two shed," Peter confessed with a wink. "I just can't handle the stress sometimes."

"That's okay, we all feel that way," I said, patting his shoulder consolingly as he leaned against me.

Just then, Amit's wife Priya bustled in along with Riya and Monica, and my wife Meera. "How did it go? Did India win?" she asked breathlessly.

"Yes, they won!" Pritam cried happily. "It was so close though."

The wives congratulated us on the victory. They had gotten food for all, as we all sat down to a feast of Indian food - biryani, roti, dal, sabzi and gulab jamun for dessert. We chatted and laughed, recounting our favorite moments from the match.

"What a day!" Amit said, sipping his wine contentedly. "It's not every day you get to watch cricket while dressed as fabulous women."

"Amen to that," I agreed, clinking my glass against his. "Here's to crossdressing and cricket!"

We all laughed and raised our glasses in a toast, celebrating India's win and the simple pleasure of enjoying sports while expressing ourselves authentically.

In the end, it was just another perfect day spent doing what we loved most - living life as feminine women while appreciating the beauty and athleticism of cricket.
